Gifting

If you're a Gold Elite member you can also choose people outside your own household to gift rewards to.

You must always gift a whole reward - in other words, you can't pay for part of a gift with Airpoints Dollars™ and the rest with cash.

How to Gift Airpoints Rewards to Household Members

First, set up your Gifting Register. To do this, login to myairnz (your new-look personal homepage), and click on Gifting Register under myGiftees. If you were previously registered for 'My Account', your login details will work in myairnz. If you're not already registered, register now.

You can add anyone who lives at the same address as you to your Gifting Register. There's no fee for adding a household member to your register if that person is already an Airpoints member. However, if they're not an Airpoints member, a service fee of 25 or NZ$25 per person will apply.

A giftee can be on more than one Airpoints member's Gifting Register. Giftees can only be gifted Airpoints rewards - they cannot earn or use Airpoints Dollars through the member's account.

Contact your nearest Airpoints Service Centre to gift Airpoints rewards to your giftees.

Gift Recipients - Gold Elite and Gold

In addition to the household gifting rules, Gold Elite and Gold members have an exclusive opportunity to gift rewards to nominated friends or family members each year. These people do not have to live in the same household or be Airpoints members. Gold Elite members are able to nominate an additional four people, and Gold members an additional two people. To register your giftees, login to myairnz, and choose Gold or Gold Elite Giftees under myGiftees.

Your nominations will remain valid until your next anniversary of reaching Gold Elite/Gold status. At that time, you can either renew your nominees for the following year, or choose new people to gift to.

Contact your nearest Airpoints Service Centre to gift Airpoints rewards to your Gold Elite giftees.
